Versatile: Judy Friedman said LEGO was the ultimate tool to bring people together, inspire creativity, or even help with rehabilitation or therapy.

LEGO lovers – and isn’t that everyone except barefooted parents in their child’s messy bedroom? – get set for the treasure hunting time of your life.

A sales and exhibition event is coming to Tamworth this week, promising more than 600kg of preloved parts, sets and Minifigures to pick over and take home. There will also be displays of LEGO sculptures.

Organiser, BrickResales’ owner Judy Friedman, said she expected hundreds of families would visit the event. “The atmosphere is electric with everyone mooching through over 600kg of LEGO finding their pot of gold, their rare piece, their missing parts, or simply taking home a bag of LEGO to create something special,” she said.
